À propos de Reid

L'artiste canadien Reid McLachlan a toujours ressenti le besoin de créer des images sur des surfaces. Il a suivi une formation formelle à l'Ontario College of Art and Design de Toronto et a passé sa dernière année d'études sur le campus de l'OCAD à Florence, en Italie, où il a obtenu son diplôme avec mention et de nombreux prix en 1987. Depuis, il a peint et exposé sans interruption en Ontario et au Québec ainsi qu'aux États-Unis. Récemment, il est revenu à la discipline du dessin, explorant différents aspects de sa pratique artistique à travers ce médium.

Qu'il s'agisse de peindre ou de dessiner, le travail de Reid explore les thèmes qui définissent ce que signifie être humain - la foi, l'amour, la perte et la mort - et cherche à comprendre ces croyances et émotions primordiales qui nous animent tous.

Ses œuvres peuvent être vues à Montréal à la Galerie Bloom, à Ottawa à la Galerie Cube et à la Galerie Annexe, et sur rendez-vous à son atelier dans les collines de la Gatineau à Chelsea, Québec.
